What are the turmoils in life we as humans go through. Some are caused by errors we have committed on our own, others are stressed we have acquired elsewhere. What is your turmoil or crisis now? We all know to err is human, however, Sparky’s dad used to say, “not to error means you are doing nothing”. Therefore the turmoil or crises we have at this moment is an error of our own or stress someone had given us.
Who doesn’t have turmoil or stress in their life? What about you now? Turmoils and stress can turn into a crisis and our health diminishes. Has this happened to you is it happening now?
To error in life may make us think about being stronger, however, a crisis will make us stronger once the crisis is over, if we have won the battle. Sharing with you one of Sparky’s crisis in life at age 71 and God knows there have been many, could be a benefit to you. However, from Sparky’s point of view no error, no turmoil, nor crisis has turned off his sense of humor.
One of the biggest crisis in life is cancer, Sparky had it twice. Both times they said he would be dead in six months if he didn’t use the orthodox doctors. At this time cancer has been won both times, however, he feels the first bout with cancer was God helping him turn around his life. It would be an error not to believe this the case.
With that in mind you could say Sparky was lucky to have cancer since his life did in fact turn around. Along with this change in life he stronger in will and can better relate to others with their crisis. The best way to win these tests, of error, turmoil, or crisis presented us is to view them in a positive way and having God at your side really helps. When the first cancer was cured Sparky realize God was at his side, it took twice having cancer for him to wake up to that understanding. God works in mysterious ways and if at first you don’t come around to Him He will give you many opportunities to realize your error.
Sparky’s opinion is God most likely views these life changing items as a lesson and since it is free it’s a gift. This opinion comes from his feelings due to what has been experienced in his life, from tests passed and won. He feels they all had their purpose.
Sparky first cancer was around age thirty three, he had a good business a happy home and a great wife, Linda and lived in a nice neighborhood, Irvine California. A lump began to form on the right his neck, and as it grew larger, Linda decided it needed diagnosed. Turned out to be cancer of the Lymph nodes on the right side.
Sparky had an operation they cut it out the cancer, giving him a 12” cut on the right side of my neck and removing the lymph nodes on that side. Sparky laughs now and says, “They could have just cut around my neck 12″ and I wouldn’t have had cancer the second time”. That’s really not funny since he would have not been around for the second time, but he seems to get a chuckle.
Sparky often recalls the second day when the doctor told him he would never be able to use my arm over my head. When he left Sparky laid back on the bed and said to himself, “He is wrong.” At the time Sparky didn’t know they had cut the nerve going to the traipse muscle for the right shoulder during the operation. A hurtle for Sparky to cross and he does with attitude. Attitude is everything in winning a crisis.
The next day Sparky asked the doctor if there was anything he could do to cause harm to the stitching. His answer was, no just pain could be the results of wrong actions. The night of the surgery Sparky had to stay awake almost all night to keep the nurses from giving him an injection for pain. People should be told the body produces endorphins to take care of most pain, medicine should be an option, up to the patient. Sparky’s total medication for pain was two aspirins. The truth is they wanted to draw more blood from Sparky’s already black and blue arms and he stood firm on not letting them have any more blood.
Movement was Sparky’s concern, not pain. When the doctor left Sparky took the IV and its wheels and headed down the hall to meet the other folks in their rooms. Sparky would stop at each doorway and start a conversation. With the conversations he discovered his crisis was not as bad as many others. Sparky found his attitude could turn a frown to a smile, it turned out to be a great experience.
While traveling down that hall where do you think Sparky’s right arm was? He was keeping that arm up and moving it on the wall. Today Sparky uses his right arm over his head all the time, oh, it’s not as good as many other folks, but the doctor was wrong. Where is he I’d like to show him just how wrong he was?
After the operation Sparky was a pale gray in color, he was still sick and taken his third radiation treatment, that was in 1980. He decided to go to anacupunturist for a second opinion. The acupunturist said Sparky could have cancer on the left side of his throat and large colon. With a little study Sparky found he had five years left to live if he continued radiation. Sparky found a homeopathic doctor who cured him. He knew he was cured for my color came back with energy and memory in record speed and lastly everyone said he looked so much better.
Sparky changed his way of life by researching more on how he could be his own doctor, very important thing to do when a medical problem arises. He became a layman in Homeopathy and guided others in their medical needs. Not being a doctor he could only guide others to understand their options in helping them recover from a crisis or small medical need. Therefore the first cancer Sparky taught him options in a crisis.
Without detail it took a second dose of cancer to change Sparky’s diet and lead him to the Lord away dedication to white magic, another story. Dr. Robert Broadwell cured Sparky with alternative medicine and changed his diet. It was his son, Wade Phillips who brought him to the Christ.
Now at 71 Sparky is healthier than ever how could he possibly feel the cancer had not been a gift from God? I use what I learned from the gift of cancer every day of my life.
The best thing a person can do with trauma, stress and a crisis is, keep a great attitude, prove to everyone that this mishap is going to make you stronger. Not to do this is a big error in life. When a doctor tells you what your crisis is learn all you can about it, be your own doctor first, trust your own instincts.
To help you along, read something funny, watch funny cartoons, do something that will keep your humor up. See what you can do to make others laugh at your predicament by making light of it. Perhaps becoming more comical and learning to laugh it off and love life is the gift you are actually getting from God.
Keep in mind He does have reasoning behind all His actions, look for the real reason for this gift. How is it going to make you stronger? Don’t expect an answer right away, could be a few years down the road before you finally say, “Thank you God for that gift, I now know the reason for my dilemma.” However, it could be a lot sooner, it really depends if you are looking for it or not. It depends on the positive side, it depends on your attitude. Laughter is the best medicine there is and guess what? It’s a gift from God also and it’s free.
The Point is attitude means everything, keep a good attitude and our turmoils, stress and crisis can be maintained and kept to a minimum and we will errorless.
