Why aka Sparky?

From Ron to Sparky?  How did that happen?

Back in 2007 during an office visit with Dr. Wong in Southern California,  Ron was strolling down the hallway when Dr. Wong pointed at me and said, “You remind me of a good friend who I really admire and his name is Sparky so I’m renaming you “Sparky”.   I felt honored because in Chinese culture nicknames are frequently used within a community amongst relatives and friends.    At the time I had just retired at the age of 65 and we started attending Dr. Wong’s church in Tustin California.   We acquired so many good Chnese church friends who called Ron Sparky, a nickname that seemed appropriate, it did stick like glue.  Perhaps when we moved to Ecuador, Ron should have introduced himself as “Sparky”.  Hey maybe it’s not to late?
